主的话语告诉我们, 我们的孩子是耶和华所赐的产业,服侍我们的下一代就是服侍我们的主。感谢主,我们教会的儿童事工一直有无数的同工在耕耘,靠着主的恩典在默默地侍奉。有好多儿童主日学老师十年如一日地在讲台上教育我们敬虔的下一代,而她们的儿女早已过了儿童的年龄。
在新的一年开始之际,我们希望有更多新的同工加入我们儿童事工的队伍,在侍奉中与我们的孩子一起经历神的教导与恩典。我们特别鼓励六年级以下孩子们的父母积极参与服侍。Current Ministry Opportunities in Children’s Ministry
Sunday School Coordinator: the Sunday School Coordinator arrives early on Sunday morning and sees that all the Sunday school teachers & teacher assistants are here and helps find coverage as needed. The coordinator will also set up snacks, greet children and parents, coworkers, assist teachers as needed and take attendance of all the classes. The coordinator ideally will spend 9:30am – 11:30am in and around the children’s wing monitoring and assisting late comers.
6th Grade Sunday School Teacher (Substitute): the 6th Grade Substitute Teacher will teach our 6th grade children as needed – curriculum, etc is provided.
Awana Girls/Boys Council Time Leader: the girls or boys Council Time Leader will teach our 3rd – 6th grade girls/boys the Bible. The primary requirement is to have the heart to show God’s love to the children and to teach them God’s Truths (in a Bible study format). He or she will create their own curriculum or utilize a ready made/age appropriate curriculum. Ideas, materials, as well as training and support from Children’s Ministry leadership team are provided. Awana runs from September 2009 – August 2010 – there are numerous Friday’s off and many special activities throughout the year.
Awana Secretary: the Awana Secretary maintains a database which contains the children’s names and Awana ranks and tracks their progress in Handbooks, etc. The Secretary also prepares awards, attendance & handbook progress sheets, and monitors supply needs. The Secretary works closely with the Awana Commander to assure smooth operation of the Awana Club here at CBCGL. The Awana Secretary duties can be done at any time but the awards and sheets need to be ready by 7:45pm every Friday evening (1 hour of service per week is needed to fulfill this duty – preferably on Fridays from 7:00pm – 8:00pm).
Awana Handbook Counselor for Pioneers (5th/6th Grade Boys): the Pioneer’s Handbook Counselor will go through an age appropriate handbook for 10 -12 age children containing Bible verses. The children recite the verses to the Counselor who in turn signs it off in their book and records progress in a Handbook progress sheet. Pioneer Handbook group meets between 8:00pm – 8:30pm in room B-220 on Friday nights.
Cubbie’s Director: the Cubbie’s Director coordinates the coverage for our Cubbie’s program (pre-school and pre-k Friday night program) which meets in room B-213. Cubbie’s Leaders are assigned on a monthly basis.
Cubbie’s Leaders: Cubbie’s Leaders run our Friday night pre-school ministry. This duty involves setting up a craft, serving snack, reading stories, etc. The major requirement is the ability to love and nurture 3 to 5 year old children. The Cubbie’s program runs from 7:45pm – 9:30pm in B-213.
Cubbie’s Helpers: Cubbie’s helpers assist the Cubbie’s Leader in caring for and loving the little ones from 7:45pm – 9:30pm.
